How we got to here.

15 years of Alian Software. Two years of Alian AI. The bets that worked, the patterns that compounded, and the things we now skip.

  1. 2010

    Alian Software founded

    Started as a generalist enterprise software firm. Manufacturing was the first vertical — clients needed ERP and didn't have it. We built one and shipped it for them.

  2. 2014

    Alian Infinity ERP becomes a product

    The custom ERP we'd built for three manufacturing clients became Alian Infinity — a productized platform with multi-tenant deployment. First three clients ported in.

  3. 2018

    Cross-vertical engineering practice

    We outgrew 'manufacturing only.' Started shipping SaaS apps for B2B startups, custom ops platforms for logistics firms, finance integrations for ERP clients.

  4. 2021

    Engineering bench reaches critical mass

    20+ senior engineers in-house. A handful of specialists in ML, computer vision, and data engineering. Reputation as the team that ships under hard constraints.

  5. 2023

    First production LLM work

    First Claude-backed agent shipped — an internal ops assistant for a manufacturing client. Worked surprisingly well. Started thinking about AI as a vertical, not a feature.

  6. 2024

    Alian AI division spun up

    Created a dedicated AI services arm. Hired two AI/ML engineers, repurposed the strongest LLM-aware generalists. Started taking AI-only engagements.

  7. 2024 · Q4

    Multi-agent manufacturing flagship

    Shipped the first multi-agent operations system across a manufacturing plant — six specialized agents, 24/7, 31% downtime reduction. Became our flagship case study.

  8. 2025

    Five flagship case studies live

    Multi-agent manufacturing · Auto issue resolution with Claude Code · AI ERP · Lead qualification agent · YouTube automation pipeline. Five wins across five verticals.

  9. 2025 · H2

    Fixed-fee Sprint model standardizes

    After running fixed-fee, hourly, and retainer engagements side-by-side, settled on Fixed-fee Sprint as the default. Predictable for clients, profitable for us. Hourly stays as the on-ramp.

  10. 2026

    Alian AI launches the public site

    This site. Live Problem Solver hero, real-time AI demos, public case studies, transparent pricing. The public face of work we'd been doing privately for years.

  11. Now

    Now

    20+ engagements shipped, 84% retainer renewal rate. Growing carefully — we hire when demand calls, not before.
