Privacy Policy

Alian AI is the AI services division of Alian Software ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect from people who visit aliansoftware.net and the Alian AI subdomain, how we use it, and the rights you have.
This is the website privacy policy. Data we process under specific client engagements is governed by the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) signed for that engagement and is not covered here.
What we collect
Information you submit. Name, work email, company, and the problem statement you type into our contact, demo, partner, and AI Readiness Checklist forms. We collect this so we can reply.
Conversations with our AI agent. When you use the AI input on the homepage or the floating chat, we send your message to Anthropic for inference and store the input + a summary of the response in our database. We use this to improve responses and to decide which use cases to write about.
Usage analytics. If we have analytics enabled (Plausible), we record anonymized pageview and event data without cookies or persistent identifiers.
Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps short-term access logs (IP, user agent, requested path) that we use to debug and to enforce rate limits.
What we don't collect
We do not use tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or session recording.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party advertisers. We have no advertisers.
How we use it
- To reply to inquiries and schedule discovery calls.
- To run our AI agent and improve the prompts behind it, using anonymized aggregate patterns.
- To send the one-time AI Readiness Checklist follow-up email when you request it. We don't add you to a marketing list without explicit opt-in.
- To detect abuse and rate-limit automated traffic.
Who we share it with
- Anthropic — for AI inference. Anthropic does not train models on API customer data.
- Vercel — for hosting. They process server logs as part of running the platform.
- Supabase — managed Postgres for our application data, including form submissions.
- Resend — if we have it enabled, for transactional email delivery.
Each of the above is bound by a Data Processing Agreement consistent with GDPR and India's DPDP Act.
How long we keep it
Form submissions: as long as the inquiry is active, then at least 12 months for follow-up. Beyond that, we delete or anonymize.
AI conversations: 90 days at full fidelity, then anonymized and retained as aggregate metrics.
Server logs: 30 days.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data. Email privacy@aliansoftware.net and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR. If you're in India, you have rights under the DPDP Act. We honor both, regardless of where you're located.
Children
The site is intended for business users. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, please email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes get an entry in the changelog and an updated "last updated" date above.
