ERFOLG is a consultation company that guides the students who wants to pursue their career in Germany. They help in making student’s migration easier to Germany. They also offer students with internship/ thesis/ part-time jobs and accommodation assistance. Their services are not only limited to Indian nationals but also from foreign nationals. They have migrated more than 480 students to Germany successfully.

ERFOLG was experiencing issues in managing the inquires, emails and data from the students. Their inquiry, admission process and data maintaining process were traditional so it was difficult for them to track the progress of the application. Therefore, their goal was to develop a unified system which would be efficient of securely handling inquiries and data. Also, it should track the progress of student’s admission.

Developing a safe consolidated web application for effective management

The purpose of developing the web application was crystal known to us. We needed to create an end-to-end system which encloses everything from client interface to data storage.

Results

Focusing on all the aspects, we built a centralized web application which led ERFOLG to manage digitally. We integrated various management modules and created a secure environment.

The system replaced the manual process completely. This resulted ease in management from handling inquiries to storing data and following it up.

Choosing a front-end tech in creating modules

Creating different modules with proper response is not simple. We had to choose a technology which would be perfect match for this Web application. It should have intuitive API; performance should be reactive and has compiler-optimized rendering system. Therefore, our choice was Vue.js. (It is a JavaScript framework used for building user interfaces and single-page applications.)

In Inquiry management, all the details of the student will be filled and submitted. These details will be stored and can be accessed for further process.

Using the secure Firebase backed by Google
In light of the need to keep the data, the database should provide secure environment. We need a real-time, user-friendly database that could facilitate user engagement. We helped ERFOLG by creating a safe environment using Firebase backed by google for storage. All of the students’ inquiries, emails, data, and documents would be saved in the firebase.

Challenges

Although it wasn’t that tough to develop the web application with the integration of several modules, we came across issues with the Category & Document listing module. While numerous students were completing the documentation process and were uploading documents, the real-time upload process was complex. At that point optimizing the speed of the website proved to be challenging.
